muhajid alhadi hamid was born in 1997 and grew up in khartoum, sudan. from an early age, he turned to art as a way to express the struggles he saw around him. after graduating in 2018 from the college of fine art and applied arts in khartoum, muhajid began creating murals that reflect the quiet stories of his community.
his murals explore the fight to survive and the pain of being judged by others. by covering faces and hiding facial expressions, muhajid explores the need to hide one’s own sadness from the community. his work can be seen across umdurman and khartoum, where his vibrant colors quietly mark walls with stories of resilience and hope.
over the years, muhajid has built a presence in sudan’s art scene, using public spaces to share his message and connect with people. for him, art is a way to reach others and express emotions that many carry alone.
